Photo news: Prime Minister hosted British and Danish servicemen at Stenbock House

Stenbock House, 24 August 2020 – At the invitation of Prime Minister Jüri Ratas, representatives of units from the United Kingdom and Denmark serving in the NATO battle group, as well as members of the Estonian Defence Forces, gathered at Stenbock House.

At the reception, Ratas thanked the participating Allies for their contribution. He pointed out that their visible presence in Estonia, good co-operation with our Defence Forces, and regular exercises on land, sea and air give assurance that Estonia is now better protected than ever before. According to him, this is a testament to NATO’s strength and has increased the security and safety of the entire region.

The Prime Minister added that the Estonian Defence Forces and officials who have helped the Allies to adapt and conduct training in the best possible manner, thus helping to ensure their long-term presence in Estonia and the Baltics, also deserve recognition.

The reception was attended by the 1st Fusiliers from the United Kingdom and members of the Danish Guard Hussar Regiment, as well as a representative from Iceland.
