Stenbock House, 8 February 2022 – Based on the proposal of the minister of culture the government decided to grant a special permit for organising the Grand Final of Eesti Laul in Saku Suurhall for an audience of up to 3,000 people as an event of societal and national importance.

According to the current restrictions, indoor events can have up to 1,000 participants. In the event of overriding public interest, events can be held for a larger number of participants if people can be sufficiently dispersed. Saku Suurhall accommodates over 6,000 spectators, which ensures such dispersion. Additionally, the organiser of the event must take all other health-related precautions and follow the applicable orders, applying additional methods to ensure safety where necessary.

The Grand Final of Eesti Laul takes place on 12 February. The competition is viewed by more than 250,000 people via ETV, ETV2 and ETV+. Additionally, reports of the event are published in Estonian Public Broadcasting portals, on Jupiter.ee and by other outlets.
