Prime Minister Jüri Ratas:

“All members of the alliance are protected. It is completely normal and ordinary for us to regularly review our common plans together with other NATO allies, and update these plans. Considered individually, we are not opposed to Turkey on the issue of updating the defence plans of our region. We are working together with the countries of our region, as well as other allies, to soon obtain approval for the updated defence plans. Should the opportunity arise, I am certainly prepared to jointly meet my Latvian, Lithuanian and Polish colleagues and the President of Turkey, on the verge of the NATO Heads of State meeting, and to discuss the issue of defence plans.”
